The Young Latino Network - YLN - Cleveland, Ohio

WELCOME to the Young Latino Network!  We are so excited that you have decided to take a moment to visit our website.  We believe that you are making a decision in the right direction in helping the Latino community in Cleveland by becoming involved in the Young Latino Network (YLN).  The mission of YLN is "To empower the Latino community through leadership development and civic engagement".

Although we are called the YOUNG LATINO Network, we are open to all individuals who are committed to our mission.  We fulfill our mission through leadership development, civic engagement and networking.  We are a 501 (c) (3) Organization that partners with corporations, non-profit organizations, schools and universities, as well as other community organizations who we strategically align with in order to fulfill our mission.

Let’s take a moment to introduce the board:

President – Jose Feliciano, Jr.

Jose Feliciano, Jr.Jose has a deep commitment to the Latino community.  He is a recent graduate of the Cleveland Bridge Builders Flagship Class of 2008 and currently is a member of the 2010 LeadDiversity Program.  In these leadership roles, Jose found his passion for giving back to the community.  Not only is he involved as Board President of YLN, he is also actively involved with the upcoming Convencion Hispana, serving as Co-Leader for the event's Civic Area Involvement Team.

As a side note, Jose is married to his beautiful wife, Kelly.  They enjoy cooking together, listening to music, traveling and watching films.

 

First Vice President – Ruth E. Ramos

Ruth believes in self empowerment, as well as community empowerment.  Ruth is actively involved in the Latino community as First Vice President of YLN, founding board member of the Cleveland chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, and she volunteers monthly at El Barrio in Cleveland.

As a side note, Ruth is a mother of a fun, loving, little boy, Emmanuel.  They enjoy going on their weekly date nights together and traveling.

Second Vice President – Eradin Berrios

Eradin is motivated in being part of a movement in developing leaders in the community and using the resources to implement change to improve our socioeconomic status and quality of life.  Eradin is actively volenteering at Esperanza and serves as a board member of Hispanic Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Programs (HUMADAOP).

On a side note, Eradin is married to his wonderful wife, Marilyn, and a father to his four bright children: Eradin Jr., Anjelica, Zara, and Celine.  He enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Secretary – Frank Bacety

Treasurer – Luis Cartagena

Luis is passionate about Latino empowerment through education and entrepreneurship. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and has worked in the accounting field for 8 years. He is actively involved with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and volunteers with Esperanza conducting interviews for the Esperanza Scholarship Program.

 

As a side note, Luis is married and a proud father of two.

 

YLN is proud to be involved with the BE COUNTED campaign through Voto Latino as an effort to encourage Latino involvement with the 2010 Census.
